Occasionally, when someone brings a device in for repair, a free estimate shows that the device cannot be fixed, either because the parts are no longer available for the device or the cost of parts and labour would be more than the cost of buying a new device. If a device is not repairable or you decide it's simply too costly, you will not be charged a fee in most cases, depending on the complexity of the diagnostics.
